Latest correspondence from SABC re Substantives
SABC Board will meet on 8-9 December 2008 were the employer will present the progress report to date on substantive negotiations. The employer proposes due to the holiday period coming soon that we convene Substantive Negotiations and determining the bargaining requirements for 2009 in the week 12-16 January 2008 for two (2) days.

When will the substantive issues especially the housing subsidy be finalised? Management should also take note that our salary increases are due end of April'09!!!
Remind me again why are we called First Citizens??? The SABC Management should look after our interests for a change and stop wasting money on items that are not important.
